Do you often watch videos on YouTube? Are you getting the results you are searching for? Today, our topic is about how to maximize your YouTube Marketing results.

Why YouTube Marketing?Statistic shows that we now watch 6 billion hours of content a month on YouTube. I'm not kidding, but 6 billion is quite an incredible number! That's a 50% increase year-over-year, while traditional TV viewing was up only 0.2% over the past year and mobile video viewing went up 20%. That's just crazy. So you see why that many people are marketing on YouTube now? (Related post:How to SWF to YouTube) But before you invest all your marketing budget into YouTube, you might consider this other statistic: 40 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube... every minute? In such case it leads you to read this article. In other words, there's a lot of competition for those eyeballs. So, how do you optimize your YouTube marketing results?

1. Don't waste time trying to beat the system.Don't bother trying to figure out a way to bypass the algorithm and gain higher ranking. The moment you think you have things figured out, they will change. Focus your time on keyword research for video titles and continuing to produce videos on a consistent schedule. Consistently producing content that's congruent with your market's needs will ideally generate the results you're after.

2. Create compelling videos. Most of us will never create a "viral" video with millions of views because we don't own a piano-playing cat or a sneezing baby panda, but thankfully those aren't required for success. In fact, most of us couldn't handle a million new customers all at once. Instead, you should create content that addresses your audience's needs. Your goal should be to create videos that are helpful, valuable and compelling to your prospects and clients. If you can blog about it, you can create a video about it. Your video content may consist of how-to's, answers to frequently asked questions, expert interviews, screen video captures, slide shows and more.

3. Know your audience. You should be able to describe your audience with detail. How old are they? What are their hobbies? What are the trigger words that will capture their attention? What benefits are they in search of? All of this is simple, but tends to be overlooked. Don't assume you know what your market wants and needs. Research it.

4. Make your video findable.Your videos should be findable both within and outside of YouTube. Videos often appear on the first page of search engines, and are a proven method of leap-frogging your competition to the top of the search results page. The fact that Google owns YouTube can't be overlooked. To make your video more findable, you'll want to focus on creating engaging videos but simply lack the keywords people are searching for in your headline and tags. Use Google's keyword tool to help determine if your word selection is popular. Look for at least 10,000 global monthly searches with "low competition." These aren't the only variables in getting found, but they're the easiest to manage and control. Page views, subscribers, comments and likes can all affect your video's visibility.

5. Use YouTube Ads.Julie Perry, the social media director at BLASTmedia, calls these the "last frontier" of online advertising. She reports, "People are coming [to YouTube] and directly entering in search queries of what they're looking for… You can bid on those keywords just as you would Google pay-per-click. But instead of a text ad coming up on the right-hand side as it does on Google, you get a video and a thumbnail of a video." "The best part is that you can bid on keywords for pennies on the dollar compared to what you pay for a Google text ad or even a Facebook ad." (Read more: How to upload SWF to Facebook)

In Conclusion
By creating content that resonates with your audience, building up a branded channel and using bulletins and ads, you can greatly increase the return on your investment in creating online videos.
